The Inaugural Charity 5K + Fun Run for Every Child Pediatrics.
Join Every Child Pediatrics for the inaugural Champions for Children 5K + Fun Run, a fun and inspiring event designed to bring our community together in support of Colorado’s uninsured children. Whether you’re an avid runner, a casual walker, or simply want to enjoy a day of family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone at this event!
This event also marks the launch of our Champions for Every Child mid-level giving program, aiming to enroll 1,000 monthly recurring donors by 2027. The Medicaid unwind has left over 211,000 children without coverage, and Every Child Pediatrics is stepping up to ensure that no child is left without the care they need. By setting up a recurring monthly donation of at least $25/month, our 'Champions' community will create access for 30,000 children each year.
Honor a True Champion
This event is dedicated to the memory of Kristen Maddoux, PA-C, an avid runner and a true “Champion for Every Child.” Kristen dedicated her career to caring for vulnerable children at Every Child Pediatrics, and her passion for running and helping others continues to inspire us. Join us in honoring her legacy as we work together to ensure that every child in Colorado has access to the care they need.
Every Child Pediatrics is a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on a mission to provide comprehensive health care to every child, regardless of their circumstance, insurance status, or ability to pay. We are the largest safety net clinic for children in Colorado. We provide a Medical Home for children with complex life situations, and offer services to support their entire health and well being. We see a high number of uninsured children, as well as children enrolled in Medicaid. We never turn a child away.

5K Run/Walk
Kickstart your day with our 5K race, a scenic route perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether you’re looking to set a new personal best or enjoy a leisurely walk, this event is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle while making a difference.
Fun Run – 1 Mile
The Fun Run is designed for younger participants and families who want to join the excitement at their own pace. This shorter route is perfect for kids, parents with strollers, or anyone looking to enjoy a fun, active morning together.

- 5K: Open to runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels.
- Fun Run: Ideal for children, families, and those looking for a more relaxed, joyful experience.

- Age group awards will be presented to the top male and female in the following age groups: 0-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-54, 55+
Race Course
The race runs on the Prairie Gateway trails and to the north on the Arsenal border trail.

Why Commerce City?
Commerce City holds a special place in our hearts. Since 2020, Every Child Pediatrics has provided care to over 13,000 children in this community, with 10% being uninsured. By participating in this event, you’re directly supporting families in Commerce City and helping to bridge the gap for those without coverage.
